Linsy’s Story
Meet Linsy, an enthusiastic member of CrossFit Moves for four years now. She discovered CrossFit through word of mouth and was immediately hooked when she started at CrossFit Moves. Before that, she used to go jogging several times a week, but she missed the social connection, something she found again in CrossFit.
“My weekly workouts are my happy moments of the week! And that’s exactly what I can use a little extra of now that I’m pregnant—a good mood! Also nice for my husband, happy wife, happy life ;-)”
Linsy is now nearing the end of her pregnancy. Despite this, she continued training throughout the full nine months—at her own pace and in a safe way. By learning to listen to her body and feeling when she could give 100% or when she needed to slow down just a little, she managed to keep both her body and mind healthy and strong during her pregnancy.
CrossFit doesn’t just make me physically stronger, but mentally more resilient for the daily challenges in life.
“Now that I’m pregnant and soon becoming a mom, I find it even more important to take good care of my physical and mental health! CrossFit doesn’t just make me physically stronger, but mentally more resilient for the daily challenges in life.”
Curious about her favorite workout?
“Definitely the gymnastics movements like handstands, pull-ups, and toes-to-bar. They remind me of my gymnastics club when I was a child 😉 I’m really looking forward to being able to do them again after my pregnancy.”
The warm community gives you that extra boost of motivation to finish every workout.
CrossFit is for everyone, at every stage of life—and Linsy proves that:
“CrossFit truly is accessible to everyone! During the classes, we always warm up together properly and pay attention to correct technique, at every level. The warm community gives you that extra boost of motivation to finish every workout.”
CrossFit has continued to play an important role for her throughout her entire pregnancy.
“I’m so grateful to still be part of the community while being pregnant—that’s what I would miss the most! Besides that, it’s proven that exercising during pregnancy has positive effects for both mom and baby, such as fewer pregnancy discomforts and a baby who may sleep better. So I’m very curious to see if those ring rows and box step-ups will help our little one sleep like a rose.”
“Of course, I adjust the intensity of the workouts and exercises. It still feels incredibly valuable to still join a training session. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant, so very soon it’ll be time for some mandatory rest and enjoying our little baby.”
We would already like to warmly congratulate Linsy on her upcoming miracle and look forward to welcoming her back to the box soon!
